Rustam Aliev is a highly experienced international corporate transactions lawyer, with a strong focus on real estate, joint venturing, and M&A matters. He has advised major real estate investors, funds, and developers operating in Russia on various aspects of acquisition and disposal of shares in foreign and Russian companies or real estate assets. Rustam has also advised manufacturers on acquiring and selling productions and cross-border transactions throughout Europe. His expertise and business acumen have been widely recognized, with the European legal directory Legal 500 2015 and Chambers & Partners 2015 both recommending him as a highly qualified and professional real estate lawyer. Rustam has also been selected by peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Russia for several years, in the fields of land use and zoning and construction law.

Rustam has worked in several prominent law firms throughout his career, including Goltsblat BLP (currently), Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP (formerly), CMS International BV (formerly), CMS Cameron McKenna (formerly), and InaLex (formerly), and Russian Advocates Guild / Law Firm “Jurconsulting” (formerly). He studied his postgraduate degree at University College London, U. of London, and his Master of Laws (LLM) in Civil Law at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU).

His recent projects included advising Capital Group, Millhouse, RosEvroDevelopment, and Radius Group, among others, on various real estate deals in Moscow and around Russia.
