Sarah Shapiro is an experienced occupational therapist with a passion for acute care, trauma, neuro, older adults, and military/veterans. She recently completed her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she demonstrated her creativity, proactivity, positive energy, and strong leadership skills in various contexts.

Sarah has worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist at UNC Health Care, where she managed teams, provided personalized care to patients, and maintained a high level of professionalism. Before that, she worked as a Level 2 Fieldwork Student at the University of North Carolina TEACCH Autism Program and as a Graduate Research Assistant at UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additionally, Sarah has experience working with children at Pediatric Possibilities, PA, and with community organizations such as Project Achieve for Transitioning High School Students (PATHSS) and American Red Cross.

She began her professional journey by completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a Minor in Spanish Language at Boston University. Before pursuing a career in occupational therapy, Sarah worked as a Freelance PR & Communications Consultant and an Account Supervisor at Marina Maher Communications. She also interned at Boston University Office of Media Relations and Kaplan Spain.
