I served as a job coach for adults with varying disabilities. This entails teaching them aspects of professionalism, helping them reach behavioral goals at work, and coaching them through the job search process. The Supported Employment Program of Sample Supports intends to help these individuals gain new levels of independence in their daily living and become a contributing member of the workforce.

I was the Assistant High School Band Director that was part of a 4-member team. We taught music to students in 6th through 12th grade which spanned over three campuses in the district. I was directly responsible for teaching the High School Non-Varsity Band, and two Beginner Band classes comprised of 6th grade students. For the band classes my co-workers taught, I was responsible for conducting small sectionals and providing one-on-one tutoring to assigned students. A major responsibility that we completed as a team was coordinating and implementing the music curriculum for 6th through 12th grade.  During my time teaching at Pittsburg ISD, I had a total of 6 students earn a place in the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Band, which is the highest honor a high school band student can earn as an individual musician. In addition, I had at least 2 ensembles each year earn a 1st division rating at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Solo & Ensemble Contest, and the High School Non-Varsity Band was under my direction when they earned their first 1st Division Rating in Sight Reading at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Assessment since the ensemble’s conception in 2014.

I was an Assistant Band Director and the Beginner Band Coordinator for the Gainesville ISD Band Program. I was directly responsible for teaching the Junior High Non-Varsity Band that comprised of 7th and 8th grade students, the 6th Grade Beginner Band, and the Beginner Woodwind classes that comprised of 6th grade students on the intermediate campus. For the Classes that my coworkers taught, I was responsible for conducting small group sectionals and one-on-one tutoring for assigned students. I was also responsible for coordinating 5th grade band recruitment and instrument testing/placement.
