Esther Riambau is an accomplished professional with over 18 years of experience in technology transfer, entrepreneurship, business development, and IP licensing. She is currently the Life Sciences Director at UPF Ventures, where she has helped over 150 technological projects, contributing to business plan elaboration, fundraising, and team building. Esther's passion for creating technology-based companies and transferring technology from academia to society began during her first job at Advancell. She has worked in various sectors, including medical devices, biotechnology, agro-food, industrial, IT, electronics & sensors, energy & environment, nanotechnology, optics & instrumentation, chemical & drug development.

Esther has a strong educational background, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Biology from Universitat de Barcelona, a Certificat d'aptitud pedagògica (CAP) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

She has held several positions in different organizations throughout her career, including being a Co-founder & Board Member at Gate2Brain, Professor at Master in Business Management & Knowledge Transfer in Biomedicine & Health Biotech, and Head of the Business Creation Unit at Fundació Bosch i Gimpera.
