Brian Dorsey is a developer advocate with a versatile skillset and an accomplished background. He is an expert in databases, glue code, and quickly fixing broken systems. Mr. Dorsey has extensive expertise in Python, relational databases, key-value stores, Windows, OS X, Linux, and troubleshooting.
He attended The Evergreen State College, where he studied BA Software & Teaching. He also pursued an incomplete Masters of Science in Information Management at the University of Washington.
Brian Dorsey has worked for different organizations with a diverse range of roles. He is currently a Developer Advocate for Google, where he advocates for developers and works on Google Cloud. Previously, he was a Developer Programs Engineer and an instructor at University of Washington Professional & Continuing Education. He co-founded Giraffe Labs, provided services through SimplyPragmatic.com, worked Sr. Software Developer at Vulcan Inc, Database support engineer at Radiant Research, and English Language Teacher at Ooigawa High School.
