Nancy Scott is an accomplished educator, coach, consultant, and researcher with a focus on developing individuals and organizations through hands-on techniques. With insights into building relationships and engaging people towards extracting and sharing knowledge, Nancy brings practical and research experience to inform the classroom. As an innovative leader, she actively fosters an environment working with students that is rich for interaction and encourages them to engage with content through applied exercises such as debates, roleplays, games, and simulations.

Nancy's key areas of concentration for research include leadership, social entrepreneurship, humor, organizational hardiness, and experiential learning. Her unique ability to facilitate the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology helps teams within organizations think, communicate, and problem-solve to drive personal, team, and organizational performance to the next level.

Nancy's accolades include receiving the 2015 Chancellor's Award for Graduate Student Teaching Excellence, being a finalist for the College of Business Graduate Teaching Award in 2014-2015, and being a special invited guest at a Student-Athlete Faculty luncheon in 2013-2014.

Education-wise, Nancy studied a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at the University of Central Arkansas, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business Administration, Management, and Psychology at Henderson State University.

In her previous roles, Nancy served as the Leadership Development Program Director for the Haslam College of Business Executive Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, owned Brick by Brick Organizational Development, was an Assistant Professor of Management at Wheaton College (MA), was a Graduate Teaching Instructor at University of Tennessee, an Assistant Lab Manager at Organizational Research Laboratory, and an Assessor and Role Player at Graduate & Executive Education.
