Wendy Smith is a prominent academic and leader in the field of organizational behavior at the University of Delaware. She is also the co-founder and co-director of the Lerner Women's Leadership Initiative, which aims to empower women and create opportunities for them in the business world. Wendy is interested in exploring the concept of paradox and how leaders can embrace both sides of seemingly opposing principles to achieve peak performance. Her research on this topic, as well as on top management teams, social enterprises, and ethics, has been published in prestigious academic journals and the Harvard Business Review. Wendy teaches leadership, organizational behavior, and ethics with the goal of creating active learning environments that can help students become confident and effective leaders. Wendy has a PhD in Organizational Behavior from Harvard Business School and a BA in Psychology and Political Science from Yale University.
