Giovanni Mascari is a highly experienced finance professional with a deep expertise in structured finance, consulting and private equity. With over 11 years of experience, he is currently focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency deals. He is the Head of Business Development for Lightsource BP in Italy, and has previously held positions at Quercus Investment Partners Limited, OST Energy, Foresight Group, Antin Solar Investments, EEA Fund Management Limited, L3D Technology, C&C Energy, Cambridge Place Investment Management LLP, and Standard & Poor's.

Mascari has studied Economy of Financial Institutions and Markets at Luigi Bocconi University, where he earned a 1st class honours equivalent degree with a 110/110 cum laude.

He has extensive knowledge of the carbon credit market and has prepared evaluations and analysis aimed at describing alternative solutions to cover the need of carbon credit titles (EUA and VER/TEE) for operators of ETS market and operators not belonging to the ETS market respectively.
