Iskander Zakirov
Iskander Zakirov is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years in the oil and gas industry. Throughout his career, Zakirov has specialized in field development planning, managing research organizations, and worked on international assignments. Zakirov holds a Ph.D. in oil and gas from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. Notably, he has held several prominent roles in both Russian and international organizations such as Petro Technologies, Rosneft, TNK-BP, and LUKOIL.
Zakirov has extensive experience in managing subsurface teams and asset management in oil and gas fields. He has managed teams within operating companies in Yamal, West Siberia, and Venezuela, where he was responsible for managing international joint ventures. Zakirov has also worked on offshore projects with Norsk Hydro in Norway, where he gained valuable experience working in foreign areas.
Currently, Zakirov is serving as the Vice Rector on R&D at Almetyevsk State Oil Institute. He has contributed significantly to the industry through his extensive knowledge and expertise. With his experience in managing research organizations, subsurface teams and asset management, he has become a valuable asset for the oil and gas industry.
