Natan Basisty

Natan Basisty is a postdoctoral fellow at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, currently on the market for faculty positions in the fields of aging, geroscience, mass spectrometry, proteomics, senescence, PTMs, biomarkers, data-independent acquisition, and protein turnover. With over a decade of experience in proteomics, geroscience, and bioinformatics, Natan has devoted his career to developing and applying cutting-edge proteomic workflows in his research on aging and diseases. He brings this passion and expertise to his pursuit of translational geroscience, with the ultimate goal of improving human healthspan by preventing and treating age-related diseases through new proteomic technologies and approaches.

Natan completed a PhD in Pathology and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Washington. Before his current position at the Buck Institute, he served as a Lab Technician and Patient Service Specialist at the university, as well as a Predoctoral Fellow. Natan has over 30 publications to his name, and has given presentations on his work at major scientific conferences such as the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS). He is a K99-recipient with a wealth of experience in aging research, proteomics, and bioinformatics.
