Hayes began her educational journey at HSHS before earning a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Hampton University. She later obtained her MBA in Marketing at the Purdue University Krannert School of Management.
Throughout her career, Hayes has held various senior marketing research and strategic insights positions at companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Proctor & Gamble. As a former Senior Vice President of Consumer Insights at BET Networks, a subsidiary of Viacom Inc., Hayes developed and led global innovation, talent development, and brand positioning initiatives, among other responsibilities.
