Ernst's passion for the financial services industry started early in his career, leading him to specialize in digital transformation leveraging traditional and fintech capabilities. He has a proven track record of delivering multi-disciplinary engagements across banking and insurance, mining, telco, energy and resources, public sector, and manufacturing industries.

Ernst is a trusted advisor, coach, and mentor who also serves as the EMEA Dean of the Technology Senior Consultant milestone program for Deloitte University (DU), Brussels, Belgium. He has worked with various national and international clients, including ABSA Bank, Standard Bank, Barclays Bank, Zurich Financial Services, Hollard, MTN, Heineken, Sasol, and First National Bank, among others.

Ernst holds a degree in B Com Informatica from the University of Johannesburg.
