Katie Van Syckle is an accomplished journalist with a diverse range of experiences in both writing and editing. She studied at both Dartmouth College and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. She has honed her skills as a Senior Staff Editor at The New York Times, where her work involves managing the newspaper's digital platforms, coordinating breaking news coverage, and optimizing content for search engines. Prior to her current role, she worked at New York Magazine as the Night Editor and Weekend Editor for The Cut. Before that, she was a Researcher and Factchecker at Rolling Stone Magazine, where she helped fact-check several major stories. She has also held various reporting positions, including correspondent at New Orleans Times-Picayune, Houma Courier, and Gambit Weekly. In addition to her reporting background, she has provided artistic assistance as an Assistant Designer at New York Magazine and Contributing Art Assistant at O, The Oprah Magazine.
