Peter Bresnan is a seasoned writer and podcast producer known for his work at Gimlet Media and Spotify. Bresnan studied English at Hamilton College, and later pursued a career in audio storytelling, attending the Transom Story Workshop for radio production. Before becoming a successful podcast producer, he spent time as a semi-professional stand-up comedian, performing in various venues nationwide.

Bresnan produced the popular podcast miniseries The Habitat, which received critical acclaim and was named one of the best podcasts of 2018 by numerous publications. In 2018, he was named a Lambda Literary Fellow for his work in non-fiction writing, and is currently engaged in investigative reporting on psychiatric medicine and depression. Bresnan helped create and showrun the podcast Motherhood Sessions, which gained high praise from the New York Times as being “consistently riveting.”

Throughout his career, Bresnan has held various positions at Gimlet Media, including Senior Development Producer, Producer of Heavyweight, and Development Producer. He has also worked as an Associate Development Producer, Contract Associate Producer, and Development Intern for Gimlet Media. Bresnan is a versatile and talented storyteller and continues to make an impact in the podcast industry.
