Bibiana McHugh is a prominent figure in the transit industry, with over two decades of experience leading significant initiatives that have advanced the sector. She holds a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Architecture from the University of Kansas, and she has served as manager of mobility and location-based services at TriMet. Bibiana has an exceptional track record of developing open source software, data standards, and open data initiatives, which have propelled the transit industry forward. She played a pivotal role in the creation and adoption of the widely accepted open data standard, General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS), and the development of the innovative OpenTripPlanner (OTP), a multimodal trip planner. Bibiana's leadership on the FTA MOD Sandbox Grant Project, which extended OTP to include shared-use mobility service providers and furthered the development of the Mapzen Pelias Geocoder, demonstrated her commitment to innovation and technological advancement.
