Paul Locklin
Paul Locklin, an internationally renowned technology executive, has a wealth of experience in founding and leading successful companies. Locklin co-founded PCI in 1972, an American-owned company that became one of the largest manufacturers of printed circuit boards, liquid crystal displays (LCDs), and contract assembles in the world. Locklin served as President and CEO until 1986, when PCI was purchased by a publicly-listed Singaporean company. In 1988, Locklin founded CIDCO, a telecommunications equipment manufacturer in Silicon Valley. He served as President and CEO through 1997, leading the company to a 60%+ market share in the caller ID space. CIDCO went public in 1994, and Locklin returned as CEO, President, and Chairman in 1999. He remained in that position until Earthlink acquired CIDCO in 2001. Locklin has been a private investor since leaving CIDCO, focusing on early-stage companies and business opportunities requiring unique dynamics and mentoring of executives and leadership teams. He holds a BS in Marketing from California State University, Hayward (now East Bay) and several patents in telecommunications and chemical processing.
