Martin Kotev is a brilliant and experienced Senior Computational Chemist with a focus on Structure-based Drug Design. With over 16 years of experience in the Chemistry discipline and more than 10 years in the Drug Discovery field, Martin is a dedicated, curious, and passionate scientist with a keen interest in Oncology, Immuno-Oncology, Neurological Disorders, Cardiovascular, Infectious Diseases, and other areas of research. He has explored and analyzed tens of different targets, studying structural static and dynamic characteristics of hundreds of proteins and their binding sites, and tens of thousands of protein-ligand complexes.

Martin holds a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and an MSc in Medicinal Chemistry from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He has also studied Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.

With his in-depth expertise in Molecular Modeling and Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo Simulations, Martin is skilled in Induced-Fit Docking, Fragment-Based Drug Design, Scaffold Hopping, SAR analysis, Virtual Screening, and QM Calculations. He has a complete understanding of Ligand-Based Drug Design and is proficient in QSAR and Machine Learning. His skillset extends to Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, NMR Spectroscopy, Retrosynthetic Analysis, and Organic Synthesis.

Throughout his career, Martin has worked for prestigious organizations such as Evotec, Nostrum Biodiscovery, IRB Barcelona, and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
