Cinnamon Janzer
Cinnamon Janzer is a freelance journalist who is passionate about telling the untold stories of the Midwest. With a focus on challenging stereotypes and showcasing the diversity and richness of the people, culture, and economy of the region, Janzer's work appears in top-tier publications such as The Guardian, New York magazine, National Geographic, and U.S. News & World Report, among others. She covers a wide range of topics, from surfing in Lake Superior to economic development in Appalachia, from tenant rights in Minneapolis to women's health issues. Janzer holds a Master of Arts degree in Social Design from The Maryland Institute College of Art and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine/Studio Arts and General/Cultural Anthropology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
