Camila Bernal

Camila A. Bernal is a dedicated nonprofit and international development professional with expertise in youth development, education, health, community development, and sustainability.

Currently serving as a Health Program Officer at United Way of Miami-Dade, she actively contributes to advancing United Way's health initiatives by overseeing research, investment management, grant monitoring, special project execution, volunteer coordination, advocacy, and community engagement.

Camila holds a Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development with a specialization in Gender from Brandeis University's Heller School for Social Policy and Management. Her academic background also includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a minor in journalism, from Mount Holyoke College, where she completed a Five College Certificate in International Relations.

Her professional journey includes roles such as Research Assistant at The Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism, Assistant Programme Specialist in Education at UNESCO, Enrollment Coordinator II, and Enrollment Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay, Child and Youth Worker at Cambridge Community Center, and various positions at CONNECTIONS After School Out of School Time Programs. Camila has also contributed her skills as a Photo Intern at San Francisco Examiner and as an Office Assistant and Tutor/Mentor at CONNECTIONS After-School Program.
