Maki Daijogo is a highly experienced and well-respected employment lawyer who has been practicing for over 20 years. As a partner and co-founder of Daijogo & Pedersen, LLP, she provides expert advice to employers on a wide range of employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels. Maki is known for her ability to develop and execute solutions that not only protect her clients' organizations but also make them look good. She has a proven track record of maintaining long-term relationships with clients, which include Cinemark Theatres, Clif Bar, Neslé Dreyer’s Ice Cream Company, and many other companies and non-profits.

In addition to her legal work, Maki is passionate about empowering women and minority attorneys. She is proud of her pro bono work with the Center for Domestic Peace (formerly MAWS), which works to eliminate violence against women. Maki is also a member of the Board of Directors of the California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP), which is dedicated to increasing opportunities for minority attorneys.

Maki received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley. Before co-founding Daijogo & Pedersen, she gained valuable experience at large, national law firms, including Miller Law Group, Jackson Lewis LLP, and Littler Mendelson.
