Mita Das, a successful leader in the oil and gas industry, is currently the Guyana Reservoir Team Lead for ExxonMobil. With years of experience in upstream business development, project management, and portfolio optimization, Mita brings a wealth of knowledge to her current role. Prior to her current position, Mita worked with a multi-disciplinary team developing strategic priorities and value chain across business units in order to deliver a leading upstream portfolio. Through this, she engaged corporate leadership, implemented investment/divestment priorities, and optimized capital spend. Her previous roles with ExxonMobil have included leading multi-disciplinary teams for major investment decisions for various upstream assets, stewarding of over $450M in annual capital budget, and developing integrated reservoir simulation products. Alongside her work with ExxonMobil, Mita has also worked with several Indian/American NGOs leading and monitoring diverse project portfolios. Mita's education includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering and a Management of Technology degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
