Dragos Sbirlea is a skilled Cloud Software Engineer with extensive experience improving efficiency, scalability, and reliability in both external Google Cloud and internal Borg operations. Sbirlea is a graduate of Universitatea "Politehnica" din Bucuresti, where he earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering, as well as a graduate of Rice University, where he received his Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science. Prior to joining Google full-time, Sbirlea held positions as a CSRI Intern at Sandia National Laboratories and Visiting Researcher at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center.

Sbirlea's expertise includes Object Oriented Programming in C++, Java, and C# (.NET), Parallel Programming using pthreads, MPI, and OpenMP in Java, and System programming in both Windows and Linux using C. As a Senior Software Engineer at Google, Sbirlea is focused on improving the efficiency of the Cloud infrastructure to improve customer experience.
