Managed the operations of $25 million enterprise with a staff of over 100. Hoover was responsible for managing all operating units including HandsOn Network, the network of 250 local volunteer centers across the country and around the world; generationOn, the youth service movement that ignites the power of kids to make their mark on the world; and Points of Light Corporate Institute, the resource for companies to engage their employees and customers in service.

Led Hands On Atlanta, a nonprofit that connects individuals, families and groups with volunteer opportunities. Under her leadership, Hands On Atlanta grew to become one of the country’s premier volunteer mobilization organizations.  After joining Hands On Atlanta in 1995, Hoover served in various leadership roles including fiscal director, director of operations and managing director.  In 2003, the board of directors selected Hoover to serve as the organization's chief executive officer.
