I have served as a long time advisor, event coordinator, volunteer, web developer in chief (c. 2009-10), and business development coach since CK began in 2009 as a small community-based Bangkok initiative called In Search of Sanuk which aimed to provide emergency food and housing for children and families most in need. The word ‘sanuk’ is the Thai word for fun. We chose that name because we believe every child, regardless of their situation, has the right to have a happy and healthy childhood. From the very beginning, I worked with founder Dwight Turner to plan and execute monthly fundraising mixers, to deliver food and training programs to local area orphanages, children's homes, and the Bangkok UNHCR Refugee Center. I developed the organization's first web platform & social media presence, and helped craft a vision for a larger organization dedicated to students and children at risk of poverty, malnutrition, exploitation and poor education across Southeast Asia, which is now registered in Atlanta, Georgia, as tax exempt US 501(c)3 under the name Courageous Kitchen Inc.

In both 2016 and 2017 I was event partner and co-organizer for our 250+ person annual Summit event in Thailand's "nomad capitol", Chiang Mai – the nation's second-largest city in the far north of the country. I was responsible for the conference's visual concept, branding, and experience design, leading the audio/visual team and media post-production, helping select speaker lineups, leading year-round marketing initiatives and designing the conference's entire web presence and sales page experience. I oversaw advertising, launched viral social media contests, analyzed our $30K+ budget, and published direct email copywriting and social media marketing to our subscriber lists and online communities in the 10,000s.I also delivered my "Top 10 lessons from 8 years Bootstrapping Businesses Abroad" presentation as a keynote speaker in February 2016, and served as conference emcee in February 2017.
