Cheryl Haflich has had a distinguished career in community development marketing and management, having worked for Shea Homes for over 30 years. Shea Homes is one of the largest homebuilders and community developers in the United States. Haflich's work experience at Shea Homes includes strategic planning and communications, brand positioning and campaign development, public and community relations, event planning, and project management and budgeting. She has worked on several award-winning communities during her career, including BackCountry, Stepping Stone, Solstice, and The Canyons. Haflich also oversaw all aspects of Shea's model home merchandising, including sales environments, management/oversight of all model home design schedules and consultants. Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors for the SMC of the HBA of Metro Denver and was recognized in 2016 by the National Association of Home Builders for achieving MIRM and CMP designations.

Haflich's educational background includes a Master's degree in Applied Communication, Communications/Marketing from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is currently the Marketing Director for Shea Homes Colorado Division.
