Luke Winikates is an accomplished engineering leader with a broad range of experience across multiple technology stacks. With over a decade of industry experience, Winikates specializes in complex production systems, fostering cleaner and more reliable set-ups. His past projects have included a successful production Kubernetes migration and seamless payment processor migration.

Winikates is passionate about software systems and their evolution and development alongside users' needs over time. He finds gratification in investigating customer-reported bugs and tracking down solutions to seemingly impossible problems. He prioritizes the importance of understanding the unique contributions and perspectives of teammates, striving to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese, Comparative Literature, and Anthropology from Indiana University Bloomington, and an exchange student experience studying Japanese Studies at Nanzan University, Winikates brings a wealth of diverse knowledge and experience to his work. He has held leadership roles such as Principal Software Engineer at Pivotal Tracker and Software Engineering Manager at Pivotal Labs, as well as engineering roles at Financial Navigator, LCI, and Nagano JET.
