Calum Thomson, a cyber security specialist with a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, has a diverse skillset shaped by his previous roles in infrastructure engineering, project management, and cyber security. Thomson has held roles at BP, TAQA, Bond Offshore Helicopters, and Redeem Holdings Ltd. As the vice president of cybersecurity and tech controls at JPMorgan Chase & Co., he was responsible for leading efforts to identify and mitigate cyber risks in technology controls. Today, Thomson is part of the Portfolio Technology Team at Hg, where he leverages his skills to manage cyber security risks for companies in Hg's portfolio. He is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest threat landscape and technologies, and he honed his skills at the SANS/GCHQ Cyber Retraining Academy.
