Mr. Black is an alumnus of Marquette University, where he studied accounting. He has held several board and committee positions over the years, including Chairman of the Board for Protolabs, Vice Chair of the Student Affairs Committee at the University of St. Thomas, and Chair of the Education Committee for the Minnesota Business Partnership. Mr. Black has also served on the boards of several organizations, including the Board of Trustees for the University of St. Thomas, the Minnesota Business Partnership, and the 2019 Minneapolis Final Four ® Local Organizing Committee.

Mr. Black places priority on community involvement and is committed to making an impact in his hometown of the Twin Cities. He and his team at SPS Commerce dedicate time volunteering to support those in need.
