Assisting on data-conversion project, creating SSRS projects, as well as supporting existing .NET applications. Created several SSRS reports to allow internal customers to view data that was previously only available via Cognos. The new SSRS reports were a replacement for the existing Cognos reports, allowing our team to support the reports without needing additional resources. o Reports used multiple, cascading parameters and conditional formatting based on the output desired. For internal views of the data, more columns were needed for analysis. However for reports that needed to be exported, a secondary format was needed. This was handled via a parameter that re-rendered the report based on the export format desired. Enhanced several SSIS packages, adding logging and creating new supporting procs and views for the data. These packages were then assigned to SQL jobs and created files for transmission to external recipients.

Led development of new order entry system for external customers o Designed application and database architecture. o Created web design for application (all CSS and HTML) o Implemented and help standardize on jQuery for client-side effects and validation. Developing Windows services to automate the order-entry process by accepting orders in XML format. Developing web services for customers to add/update information to our systems for merchant accounts. Data conversion from old DB system from JD Edwards over to our Great Plains software. Contract at Avala Marketing in Fenton, MO At Avala Marketing we built software for the boating industry to manage leads. The software was created as a “base-package” and marketed to our customers. Customers could then purchase the base package and add their branding to it, or purchase customizations to the package for their own installation in our hosting environment. We hosted the software for customers, maintained their installations and managed customizations according to maintenance contracts between Avala and the Customer. The main technologies we used for these projects were .NET 4.0 Framework, Entity Framework, C#, and SQL Server. Day to day activities include support, maintenance and testing of new features. Working with existing specs to bring requirements to fruition. Communicating with various support staff and other developers to collaborate on standards and the best approach to solving issues that arise during development. Major enhancements I provided are: several SSIS packages that automated the import/export of data to various output sources (files, email, and ftp). Wrote a Lead Import Manager that pulls emails from Exchange to import into the SQL database, converting the incoming XML to business objects for database storage. Also wrote/consumed several web services for lead management. Developed a mini-project, for fulfillment, that welcomed new boat owners, via letter, to the owner’s club after purchase. Authored several windows services centered on managing leads in the application.

Project management role: was responsible for leading a team of architects in NY to review/implement VS2008 and Team Systems Foundation server and provide recommendations to management and other developers.Coordinate upgrades and work with other IT groups to implement new shared technologies, like the .NET Framework 3.5 so that developers can use the latest tools in their solutions.Was promoted in December of 2007 to Technical Architect with my primary duties being the overseeing of new technology efforts, the recommendation and implementation of new tools and standards and being a technical lead for our team.  At this time, I still supported and maintained existing code-bases that I'd written in the past and took on new support roles when some other employees moved on to new opportunities.Completed developing security changes to an <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> application for the Contracts department, called Wholesaler Reports On Demand.Completed an application as part of a team effort for the Credit Department that manages their returns process.
