Howard Chen
Howard Chen is a software engineer who studied computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a co-founder of Public Comps, a venture working at the intersection of engineering and finance. Chen's professional experience includes senior software engineering at SignalFire and a software engineering internship at Groupon. He has also taught as a Data Science 8 TA/UGSI at UC Berkeley.
A former Internal Vice President and Technical Project Leader at Blueprint, Technology for Non-Profits, Chen has experience working in both product and distributed computing. During his time at UC Berkeley, he also instructed a CS198 Ruby on Rails Decal and served as a Mobile Engineering Intern at Salesforce.com.
Outside his professional life, Chen contributed to arts and culture as a musician with Curtain Call Performing Arts. He is a High School diploma graduate of San Leandro High School where he honed his academic skills.
