Carbon13 (<a href="http://www.carbonthirteen.com">www.carbonthirteen.com</a>) is a venture builder, fostering commercial, scalable businesses which attack climate change through developing new business models, new value propositions and new tech which have the potential to make significant impacts (aiming for a minimum of 8 million tonnes per year) on the reduction of CO2e emissions.

We are sector agnostic. these new business founders are asked to commit to building a business which will either help millions of people reduce their emissions by a modest amount, or a smaller number of major enterprises to reduce theirs by a large amount. We are at a unique moment where many enterprises and many consumers are looking for ways to reduce their emissions.

We provide these new business founders with tools, networks and base funding, preparing them for seed investment through our online and offline programmes.

We bring together funders (foundations, impact and VC investors, governments, corporates), sparring partners & subject matter specialists, Universities, implementation partners and others who can make a difference to the innovators we foster.

The development of ways to deal with climate change is both a matter of humanity's survival and one of the most far-reaching economic opportunities of the next century.

Foundation East is a social enterprise offers whose prime purpose was to provide finance and support to small businesses in the eastern region of the UK, specifically when the banks and other mainstream financial organisations were unable to assist. Foundation East ceased to provide this service in September 2019. Foundation has a small property portfolio, consisting of a small business centre, a shop and 2 residential flats. the accommodation is located in Halesworth.  Accommodation is restricted to local people and to local businesses.
