My role at Avnet was pivotal to the success of the business group; I was responsible for understanding the technology and delivering the budget and the joint strategy that was agreed with senior Avnet personnel and then negotiating with all of the vendors.

My focus was on vendors that were either number one or a challenger brand in their field of excellence.  Vendors included Motorola, Intermec, Psion, Fujitsu, Canon and Panasonic.
