Eduardo do Couto e Silva is a highly qualified physicist with a background in leading and conducting cutting-edge research for more than two decades in international laboratories such as Stanford Linear Accelerator Center and CERN. His experience includes managing integration and test programs involving state-of-the-art semiconductor technology and clean rooms, developing complex instrumentation for extreme environments such as high energy accelerators, underground laboratories, and space telescopes. Eduardo has expertise in competitive intelligence, strategic planning, public-private partnerships, government relations, and managing international research projects.
As a former advisor and visiting specialist at CGEE, he worked in international programs and partnerships, and he co-founded the Social Network at Integra Brazil. Eduardo is highly skilled in managing and controlling operations of complex scientific experiments that operate in space and underground with high-risk and high-cost of failure. He possesses excellent interpersonal, language abilities, and strong presentation skills.
Currently, Eduardo do Couto e Silva is the Head of Innovation/Embrapii Unit - Biomass at Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM). He aims to use his extensive experience to bring innovation to energy and material research.
