Anna Duning is a policy expert and public servant with experience in budget development, policy analysis, and program management. She currently holds the role of Acting Budget Director in the San Francisco Mayor's Office. In this position, she collaborates with the Mayor and City departments to put together the City's annual budget. Prior to her work in San Francisco City and County, Anna worked as a Graduate Researcher and Project Manager at UC Berkeley, where she gained experience in academic policy research and teaching. She also spent time in tech policy and legal operations at Google before transitioning to public service. Anna holds an MPP from the UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy and a B.A. in Political and Social Thought, Spanish from the University of Virginia.
