Zahra Khuwaja is a passionate and driven individual with a diverse educational background and a wealth of professional experience. She graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and a minor in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. She also pursued a minor in Psychology to broaden her understanding of human behavior and interactions. Zahra's thirst for knowledge led her to study Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at The Lyceum and complete her O and A levels at Convent of Jesus and Mary in Karachi, Pakistan.
Zahra has held various leadership positions throughout her academic and professional career. She served as Conference Coordinator at ASHRAE, Historian at The Tau Beta Pi Association, Inc., and Treasurer at the Society of Women Engineers, among others. She was also a Peer Career Coach and Structural Engineering Intern at EXP, an IIT Armour R&D Summer Research Immersion Program participant, and a Mechanical Engineering Intern at ICL Interior Architecture and Engineering Consultants Inc.
Zahra's expertise lies in creating resilient infrastructure within the sectors of Transportation, Health, Water, and Energy. She is passionate about high-end technologies and renewable energy, as well as their economic and environmental implications. Additionally, Zahra is an avid learner with strengths in Input, Harmony, Learner, Intellection, and Arranger. She enjoys practicing boxing, exploring new cultures, and learning about leadership and problem-solving.
