Senior Software Engineer

Full Stack Engineer on the Content Experience Team. Worked on both the backend and front-end teams which power Box's preview features. I have been the lead engineer on the Box Annotations project in addition to being a member of the team which has built and maintains Box Preview and various React components within Box UI Elements.

Box Annotations enables a deeper level of collaboration by allowing users to highlight text in files, draw on top of and add comments to specific parts of a file preview, such as a particular slide in a presentation. The Box Annotations is built as a contextual layer consisting of a React-based UI with an API layer on top of the Box Preview. Box Preview allows users to securely view their documents and media files on desktop and mobile web without leaving the Box web application and is the most used product feature at Box, serving over 50 million previews a week. Preview is built with ES6 JavaScript, Babel & Webpack on top of the public Box API and powers content viewing in the Box web experience and in our various platform offerings. Box Elements are modular React components that developers can use to easily embed parts of the Box web experience into their own custom applications. Using these components, platform developers can view, browse, choose, and upload their content to Box.
