Kimberly McIntyre is a highly accomplished attorney with extensive experience in multiple practice areas, both in advice and counsel and pre-litigation advocacy. She has represented public and private companies, governmental entities and individuals in complex matters involving federal, state, and local laws and regulations. With effective interpersonal skills and proven ability to work cooperatively with legal advisors, risk managers, and other personnel, she has achieved timely, cost-effective solutions to legal problems and related projects.

Ms. McIntyre is an expert in defending injury, property, employment, and contract claims across various practice areas. She has extensive experience in counseling clients on risk management, employment, and regulatory compliance. She is also skilled in investigating claims and analyzing liability exposure in insurance and other contexts. She has negotiated and drafted contracts in litigation and transactional settings and has handled public records act requests.

Ms. McIntyre holds a J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and a B.A. in Government with a minor in Mathematics from the College of William & Mary. She has worked as a Deputy Port Attorney at Port of Oakland, an Attorney/Partner at Kenney & Markowitz L.L.P., and an Associate Attorney at O'Connor, Schmeltzer & Rose.

Ms. McIntyre is responsible for heavy case load and case management, including management of litigation teams, prioritization of tasks, and compliance with deadlines. She handles routine internal and external reporting, preparation of and adherence to budget reports, and billing and collection efforts. She supervises and participates in all aspects of litigation in state and federal court, from case inception through final disposition. She formulates and implements overall litigation strategy, prepares pleadings, engages in all avenues of fact and expert discovery, drafts dispositive and other motions, prepares for and participates in trials, and engages in writ and appellate work. Ms. McIntyre shares in firm management and client/business development duties.
