Shyama Perera is a celebrated writer and broadcaster with a wealth of experience in strategic communications, thought leadership, and media relations. With a Bachelor of Arts in English from The Open University, she has held several leadership roles in various organizations. She previously served as a trustee at the Youth United Foundation, chaired the Sadaa South Asian Diaspora Arts Archive, and worked as a communications consultant. Shyama has also been a member of several boards and panels, a print journalist, writer and author. Additionally, she was a notable broadcast journalist and presenter at major media outlets such as BBC, ITV, C4, Cable Radio 4, Radio London, and LBC.
