Lynda Hardman
Lynda Hardman is an esteemed computer scientist specializing in data visualization, hypermedia, multimedia, web, semantic web, and human-computer interaction. She studied a BSc(hons), Mathematics & Physics at the University of Glasgow and completed her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam. She has held numerous positions throughout her career, including Professor of Multimedia Interaction at the University of Amsterdam, Professor of Multimedia Discourse Interaction at Utrecht University, and Director at Amsterdam Data Science. Lynda is currently the Manager of Research & Strategy at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica, where her focus is on the automatic generation of user-tailored hypermedia presentations and visualization of linked data.
Throughout her career, Lynda has been involved in groundbreaking projects such as LinkedTV, Fish4Knowledge, COMMIT SealIncMedia, K-Space NoE, MultimediaN/E-Culture. She has also been an active member of various committees and organizations, including NWO Science, Schloss Dagstuhl, LIAMA, and Informatics Europe. Lynda's work has been published in various scholarly journals, and she has received numerous awards for her contributions to the field of computer science.
