Event Producer and Principle

Plan, coordinate and execute 50-60 special events per year, ranging from small private dinners to the organization's signature fundraising events.  Oversee all aspects of the planning, production and management of these large, small, high-profile and less formal events including the coordination of contractors, artists, and vendors.  Responsible for budget management, compliance with all WPAS financial protocols, and assistance in the development of the annual budget for special events.  Manage communications regarding each event, including the design, creation, and distribution of information through print and electronic media.  Serve as organization's primary contact with the diplomatic community.  Maintain a development portfolio of WPAS donors and constantly solicit new donors.

Plan events from the initial concept to completion.  Tasked with all aspects of high visibility and high attendance events.  Contact venues and hotels for availability, negotiate with venues and vendors, review, edit, and approve contracts and Banquet Event Orders. Also develop and approve invitations, track RSVPs, direct event security, generate audio visual plan, create minute by minute timelines, and go on site to execute every detail of the event to ensure a  flawless experience for the guests.  Travel around the country on multiple site visits of high end hotel properties for future events.  Events include everything from small receptions, dinners, and lectures to multiday conferences for over 1000 people.  Direct supervisor to a special events assistant, 2 database assistants, and an intern.

Event Planner

Conduct and organize negotiations with foreign governments, U.S. embassy employees, and vendors to ensure compliance with schedules and travel requirements of the Press Corps and U.S. Delegation.  Construct and execute emergency contingency plans in support for the mission of the White House delegation as last minute changes to the President's schedule or extenuating circumstances arise.  Coordinate and manage the logistical planning and execution of ground and air transportation, hotel accommodations, workspaces, incurred costs, and required credentials for the White House Press Corps and Traveling Party for domestic and international travel.

Initially worked as personal aide to the Senator.  Handled day to day operations following the Senators schedule to manage his time appropriately.  Assumed the position of managing 4 field offices and a national political office and supervising the political field staff of 56.  Tasks included the budgeting and expenditure process for the national political office.  Developed and executed national political plans for phone banks, expenditures, reimbursements, scheduling, voter contact, major events and GOTV.  Deployed into early states to run GOTV programs and logistics.
