Janssen Choong

Meet Janssen Choong, a seasoned technology executive and mentor with a wealth of experience in helping startups, unicorns, and governments grow their engineering teams. With a background in BSE and BA from the University of Pennsylvania, and studies at KTJ Primary Secondary Academia Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar, Janssen has honed his skills and expertise in various organizations and initiatives.

Janssen is currently a Partner at Horizon Connect, where he uses his deep knowledge of engineering and business to guide companies in scaling their operations. He is also known for his work with PlatoHq and First Round's Fast Track, where he mentors engineering leaders to help them succeed in their roles.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, Janssen has also been involved with HumankindNOW, a nonprofit initiative that provides Covid-19 response efforts to those who need it most.

Previously, Janssen has held various senior leadership positions, most notably as CTO at Hyphen, Booster LLC, Spark Commerce Inc., and Wizard. As an entrepreneur, he has also founded several companies, including CouponHq.com and Kereta.com, and served as Managing Director at eMason Solutions. He has also travelled extensively through his Year of Travel initiative.
