Michael Richard is a Christian writer and seasoned advocacy professional with over 17 years of experience in advocacy and lobbying, public speaking, and government relations. He has worked with non-profits and the labor movement and has been a legislative advocate in and around the California State Capitol. He has also served as an Administrator and Statewide Political Coordinator. Michael has a Master of Business Administration in International Business from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from California State University-Chico.
In January 2017, Michael embarked on writing his first novel, CHOSEN'S BEAUTIFUL HEART, a fictionalized version of a young girl born in Hong Kong who is adopted into an American family. In the novel, the protagonist, Callie "Beautiful Heart" Chin, discovers faith, family through adoption and an unexpected romance with Mike, a man with cerebral palsy. Michael finished a first draft in March 2018 and currently works with an editor to finalize the novel for publishing.
