Nicole Spencer, MBA is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in fundraising, communications, and environmentalism. Ms. Spencer studied ecology and resource management at Humboldt State University, where she honed her passion for environmentally sustainable practices. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration from the School of Business at Portland State University, where she also earned a graduate certificate in Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship.

Ms. Spencer has held numerous executive and professional roles throughout her career. She worked as the Annual & Planned Giving, Executive Director at Catlin Gabel School, a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade independent school in Portland, where she managed development and fundraising efforts. Prior to that, she served as Senior Development & Communications Director at The Freshwater Trust, a leading environmental nonprofit in the Pacific Northwest, where she was responsible for raising funds and leading communications strategies.

Ms. Spencer has also worked as the Director of Development & Communications at Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation, where she led successful fundraising and awareness campaigns. She began her career as a Botanist & Habitat Restoration Project Manager at an environmental consulting firm, later moving on to serve as the Program Coordinator at Alliance for Sustainable Jobs and the Environment, and finally as an Annual Fund Manager at Humboldt State University.

Through these experiences, Ms. Spencer has developed strong leadership, communication, and fundraising skills. Her passion for environmentalism and sustainable practices is evident in her professional and personal pursuits. She currently serves as the Partnerships & Operations Director at Rogue Advocates, a nonprofit organization that works to protect the natural environment and address social justice issues in Southern Oregon.
