Richard Mrlik is a seasoned energy business entrepreneur with over 25 years of expertise, spanning across electric, renewable, oil & gas, and environmental industries. He is a thought leader in the energy space and is committed to decarbonizing energy. Richard's Company, Intertie, is building modular, smart grid technology to deliver fast charging, intelligent battery storage, solar integration, and energy services.

Richard has extensive experience in energy projects, including the development and operation of utility-scale & distributed generation projects, renewable, geothermal, and EV charging. His firm managed operations for over 15 years and supervised utility infrastructure development. Also, Richard has actively traded in wholesale energy markets and has developed several behind-the-meter energy projects, providing comprehensive energy and sustainability solutions to end-users, generators, producers, and investors.

Richard began his energy career as a field engineer with Schlumberger in the Middle East. He worked on utility-scale power projects at UNOCAL Geothermal after grad school. Richard also directed business development for University Energy and worked with a team that developed and operated a portfolio of 500 MW of gas-fired cogeneration. Before starting Intertie, Richard helped start one of the first power marketers authorized to trade bulk power in the wholesale market. He currently chairs the Renewable Energy Sub-Committee of Stanford University Petroleum Investments Committee.

Richard holds an Engineer's Degree in MS, Petroleum Engineering - Business Management, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, both from Stanford University. He currently serves as the CEO and Founder of Intertie Incorporated and was formerly the President at Intertie Corp.
