James S. Trieschmann is a skilled attorney with over eight years of active duty in the military as a Judge Advocate. He is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., and specializes in representing clients on appeal before the VA and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Trieschmann has extensive experience in appellate litigation, managing the most difficult cases in the military and representing over 200 soldiers before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF) and the Army Court of Criminal Appeals (ACCA).

Before starting his own firm, Trieschmann served as a trial and appellate defense attorney at The Law Office of James S. Trieschmann, as well as a managing federal prosecutor and a torts claims attorney. He spent the majority of his military service as a defense appellate attorney executing the full range of appellate litigation from research and writing of appellate briefs to oral arguments. Trieschmann also served as a prosecutor and managing prosecutor for Army Central Command, responsible for the administration of military justice for Army Central Command operations in Atlanta, GA, and throughout Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, and Qatar. While in this position, James participated in 300 successful criminal prosecutions, including felony cases involving rape, burglary, child pornography, drug distribution, fraud, sexual assault, larceny, and murder.
