Responsible for assisting in retaining and expanding companies and businesses in SE South Dakota along with recruiting new industries to SD.  Worked with the Bioscience industry and the SD Biotech Association to assist in new company startups.

Business Development Representative

Manage bidding process as the expert consultant for professional sports teams. Organize and lead pre-bid meetings to determine and agree on specifications. Identify potential qualified vendors for each project, distribute RFPs and respond to requests for information. Provide a written qualitative and quantitative evaluation of each proposal. Assist the team’s selection committee in making recommendations to team ownership regarding vendor choice. Play a key role in blending the successful proposal and RFP into a binding contract with team management and legal counsel.

Owner/Consultant

Lead the company’s sales and marketing efforts to promote products and services to Major League Sports venues including MLB, MLS, NFL, NHL, NBA, PGA Tour and US Tennis. Assist in negotiating contracts between $250K and $13M on behalf of Daktronics. Build relationships and network with professional teams, architects, consultants and construction managers through personal visits, conventions, trade shows and conferences. Collaborate with local contractors, including MBE/WBE firms, for the installation of units and peripheral signage.
