Pete Huie is a highly accomplished leader with over twenty years of experience in various organizations, including the U.S. Army and the King County Parks Division. He has a proven track record of effectively guiding people and organizations, utilizing strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve success in challenging and ambiguous environments.

Huie earned a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona, and went on to complete a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs and a Masters of Urban Planning and Design, City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning at the University of Washington.

Throughout his career, Huie has held various leadership positions, including as Deputy Division Chief at The Joint Staff, where he oversaw a team of officers responsible for coordinating and integrating military operations across multiple agencies. At U.S. European Command, he served as Army Program Chief, Office of Defense Cooperation, where he coordinated military and political programs in eastern and central Europe.

Huie's expertise and skills include strategic planning, leadership development, project management, and community engagement. He has a deep understanding of the complex relationships between urban design, community planning, and regional development. His interests include outdoor activities such as hiking and camping, as well as exploring new cultures and places around the world.
