Sony Music, Epic Records and Arcade Creative, New York, NY	2012-2015Creative DirectorHired in consulting capacity before being offered a full-time position to develop talent roster, brand, and imaging for artists and leading entertainment companies. Recognized for success in artist brand development, design, and management. Lead 24 direct reports and manage various project budgets ranging in value from $20K to $150K.Art Direction and Artist Image Development: Successfully branded and / or rebranded Rihanna, Janet Jackson, and Michael Jackson.Brand Reinvigoration & Synthesis: Successfully branded and / or rebranded the following companies: Roc Nation, i am OTHER, Gravite, Sony Music, Epic Records, Syco Entertainment, and X Factor.Innovation & Creativity: Partnered with Arcade Creative Group and worked with NRG to combine clean energy with Sony pop culture icon The Fray for opening of world’s largest solar thermal plant.Developed The Fray’s artwork, visuals and album name and branded full album to represent the sun. Partnered with NRG to open flagship solar thermal plant and leveraged social media to drive pop culture awareness of event.Created critically acclaimed robust advertising and imaging campaign used to sell Michael Jackson’s “Xscape,” the second posthumous album of previously unreleased tracks by Michael Jackson.Directed visuals for Epic label, including creating compelling visuals for leading artists, including The Fray, Meghan Trainor, Sara Bareilles, and Michael Jackson. Developed brand images aligned with label’s vision.Led event planning efforts and directed aesthetic appeal and experience of label’s events for artists that included Michael Jackson, Meghan Trainor, the Fray, Poloma Faith, and A Great Big World.

Sony Music Entertainment

Conceptualized and delivered brand images for artists and products. Designed, art directed, and creatively led projects, leveraging traditional and social media to promote international and domestic projects. Worked with musicians, photographers, illustrators, and designers.  Inspired a staff of 25 full-time and freelance employees, and managed a quarterly budget of $20M. - Created non-traditional solutions for the company’s brand and associated artistry of labels, including special packaging opportunities for artists such as Bon Jovi, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber. - Branded Island’s 50th anniversary and Def Jam’s 25-year anniversary in a  campaign comprised of a history of the company’s music and leading performers – campaign was  presented at the Sundance Film Festival and led to numerous film and TV opportunities, including the Justin Bieber movie, which grossed $65M.- Collaborated with the social media department, web, and interactive staff to determine imaging and creative plans to increase visibility and response via Facebook, Twitter, and all other emerging platforms.

Established the creative vision as part of leading a staff of 20 to develop imaging for the corporate brand, artists, and products.  Produced artwork for use in print and online venues. Ensured the ongoing support of a cohesive creative message on behalf of artists and the label’s brand across all properties.Fostered relationships with marketing and web staff in support of all artwork, which was used on Facebook and Twitter. Showcased new single artwork with Rihanna and Justin Bieber.

Produced creative artwork for all imaging areas, gaining input from executive staff, department heads, and label artists. Collaborated with all musicians, photographers, illustrators, and designers.Assumed Creative Director role in 2006 to create the vision for the label's art and managed all art department resources for the Geffen Records brand. Designed and art directed many of the album packages and visuals for all artists on the roster. Managed creative dates and art department budgets.- Leveraged a shared group of artists, creative work, and images of The Cure, Snoop Dogg, Lifehouse, Mary, Common, and other artists for use in print, online, and merchandising efforts, saving time and money.

Commenced as a designer doing production. Worked with highly respected art directors and subsequently transitioned into an art director role.  Created art for artists on the MCA label and the brand overall.  Clients included Mary J. Blige, LIVE, Blink 182, Cranberries, The Roots, Talib Qweli, Rawkus Records and Mos Def.
