Nahush Nair

Cssgb Nahush Nair is a mechanical engineer with a passion for design and manufacturing of mechanical systems. With over 5 years of experience in design and manufacturing, he has owned projects from concept stages to production under tight schedules. He is experienced in working for startups, undertaking critical projects for the US Army and DARPA. His extensive experience with working on multiple Formula SAE racecars enables him to generate innovative and realistic solutions from both the designer and customer perspective.

Nair has completed his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, and his Bachelor of Engineering from Pillai College of Engineering. He has worked as the Manufacturing and Tool Design Engineer at Joby Aviation and as the Chassis & Structures Design Lead at UTA Racing. Furthermore, he has also worked as a Design And Development Engineer at LiquidPiston, Inc., a Research Assistant at MAE MAc, a Student Assistant at UTA FabLab, and as the Engine Design Deputy and Manufacturing Lead/Engine Department Head at UTA racing and Hyperion Racing Team, respectively.

His key qualifications include product development from initial to end stages, familiarity with GD&T practices and working closely with manufacturers, adept with Milling, Lathe, Composites, and general fabrication. He is experienced with software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Catia V5, Hyperworks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, Ricardo Wave, Pointwise, Star CCM+, and has expertise in powertrain development and engine building/testing.
