David Emory is a transit enthusiast, data and map nerd, and urbanist who has been making waves in the transportation industry for years. With a degree in Computer Science from Brown University and a Master's in City/Urban, Community, and Regional Planning from Georgia Institute of Technology, his education has given him a unique perspective on transit and the intersection of technology and planning. He has held a number of impressive positions throughout his career, most recently serving as the Sr. Director of Customer Experience Innovation at MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority). Prior to that, he was the Director of Technology Strategy and Innovation at MARTA, and a Principal at Conveyal. He also worked as a Project Lead at OpenPlans, Principal Planner for Transportation at Atlanta Regional Commission, and Senior Planner for Transportation at the Atlanta Regional Commission.
